Spring announces itself differently depending on where you live. Across the British countryside, it's the rapeseed fields that tell you it's arrived - great sweeps of yellow covering the landscape, vivid against the dark soil and the pale sky above.
This print came from one of those days when the fields were at their best. That particular shade of green and yellow together, the farmhouses sitting quietly in the middle of it all, the feeling that the countryside has woken up again.
An original hand-carved linocut print, hand-printed in my studio in the Malvern Hills. Part of my British landscape art collection, limited edition of 30.

Framing suggestions This print works well in a 50 x 50 cm frame with a wide white or off-white mount. Square prints have a natural stillness - a simple oak or natural wood frame keeps that quality. A deep white mount with a thin dark frame works equally well. The print arrives unframed so you can choose what suits your space best.
