Original Linocut Prints

Original reduction linocut prints, hand-carved and hand-printed in my studio near the Malvern Hills.

Each print is made from a hand-carved lino block using the reduction printing process, where successive layers of colour are printed from the same block. Because the block is gradually carved away during printing, each edition is fixed and cannot be reproduced once complete.

These are original limited edition prints, not reproductions. Each one is individually printed on Arches 88 300gsm printmaking paper, then signed, titled and numbered by hand.

The collection includes landscape linocuts inspired by the changing seasons, fields, hills, cottages and wildflowers of the countryside.

About these original linocut prints

Are these original prints or reproductions?
These are original prints made directly from hand-carved lino blocks. They are not digital or photographic reproductions of another artwork.

What is a reduction linocut?
A reduction linocut is created from a single lino block, with more of the block carved away after each colour is printed. Once the edition is complete, the full image cannot be printed again.

Are the prints limited editions?
Yes. Each edition is fixed, and every print is signed, titled and numbered by hand.

Do the prints come framed?
Most prints are sold unframed unless stated otherwise on the individual product page. Framing suggestions are included with each artwork.
